Ridges blended back parallel
with valve centerline
When you blend the long side
allow the bowl to gently angle
toward the guide.
This is the beginning of the long
turn/side radius. Be conservative
when blending the back of the
bowl. If you make it too large here
flow seperation will occur at the
back of the bowl due to the divot
at about 5:00.

Begin to lay back the short turn
where the rust ends and the
carbon begins. Bear in mind the
casting number you are working
on and shape this area as I nave
noted throughout these guides.
The D2VE and D3VE castings
have a greater distance here
than the D0VE and earlier
itinerations.
