These pics show the relationship between the valve and its seat. Back cutting both the intake and exhaust valves will help flow in all iron Ford BBF sylinder head castings. A back cut on the intake helps primarily at lower lifts.
Valve seat angles should be sharp and defined. My machinist leaves the 45 degree seat angle .001 higher than the others to allow for valve to seat properly
