| This second group of pics is from a pair of castings that came pre ported from Dale Askins. They did a quite respectable 180 CFM @ .800" when they arrived. After some short turn shaping I managed about 200 @ .600" when I worked the short turn corners as instructed elsewhere on the site (D0VE guide) I was flowing near 220 @ .800". Is this second open passage port better? Most probably not. Was alot of extra work and now the port is bigger and will offer lower velocity because of its size. I feel the 1.8" valve played a large roll in the good final flow figures. |
